Tiger 3:Hit or a miss?

Cinematic universes are all the rage nowadays, especially in the Indian film industry. After the massive success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, many filmmakers have started to connect different movies. For example, YRF has created a Spy Universe, Maddock has a horror universe, and Rohit Shetty has a cop universe.

Among the group, I think The Spy Universe has the best understanding of the assignment. They recognize the meaning of meta jokes, BGMs, crossovers, cameos, and fan service, among other concepts.

Tiger 3, the excellent follow-up to Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai, is the most recent addition to this universe.

Tiger 3, which stars Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, tells the tale of Avinash Rathore, popularly referred to as "Tiger," who embarks on a perilous mission to clear his and his family's name following the events of Pathaan and Tiger Zinda Hai. He also faces off against the antagonist Atish Rehman, played by Emraan Hashmi.

Now, let's talk about the things which I did not like about this film and I will try my best not to reveal anything:

·       VFX: Believability is the primary determinant of an action thriller's overall excellence. In certain action situations, Tiger 3 falls flat on its face, making it obvious that a green screen or other digitally created background or object is being used. Pathaan also faced a similar problem, but in my opinion, this one was more startling and pulled the viewer out of the otherwise expertly planned and executed action scene.

·       The second half mess: In my opinion, the opening part of the movie, which introduces the people and the world before the action starts, is quite enjoyable. However, a lot of things start to conveniently accelerate in the second part of the movie, which is when the film's climactic act begins, making you wonder if you're seeing Tiger 3 or Race 4. I think they included superfluous story twists to make up for Pathaan's dreadful finale, which merely served to extend the movie's running time by twenty minutes. I think it would have been a far more delightful experience if that segment had been cut.

·       Music Album: The Spy Universe has long been renowned for its outstanding soundtrack; even Pathaan, with its two tracks, achieved chart success. While both of the songs in Tiger 3 are good on their own, they are nothing in comparison to the songs from earlier Tiger films.

Now lets talk about the things which I liked about the film:

·       Action sequences: The opening scene, the stealth scene in Turkey, the notorious Hamam fight sequence starring Katrina Kaif, the much anticipated moment on the bridge right after the break, and the use of silhouettes in the conclusion are just a few of the brilliantly planned action scenes in this movie. With the exception of a few erratic visual effects, the action scenes feel a lot better than in Pathaan.

·       Katrina Kaif’action prowess: Katrina's status as the nation's top female action star and the most fierce character in the Spy Universe is cemented in this film. Additionally, Tiger and Zoya's relationship makes you care about their personal threats, which is another upgrade over Pathaan, especially with the help of the previous two films.

·       Salman Khan’s performance: Since the release of Tiger Zinda Hai in 2017, Salman Khan has not had that type of box office pull, and he is primarily to blame for his preferences for scripts and the individuals he is ready to work with. For this reason, Tiger 3 holds a special place in the hearts of both him and his fans since it brings back the nostalgia of Salman Khan's films from 2010 to 2018. And this film succeeds, at least in terms of meta jokes, filmy speech, larger-than-life treatment, etc. Thus, this film would be highly recommended to you if you're a Bhai fan.

·       Emraan Hashmi shining in the second half: Unlike the typical Pakistani villain found in other Spy Universe flicks, Emraan Hashmi's character Aatish Rehman has an indirect relationship with Tiger's life. During the second half, Emraan's persona truly comes to life. Although he may not be as formidable an opponent as John Abraham's Jim, he nonetheless feels like a real threat to Tiger and his crew.

Overall, Tiger 3 is a fun movie to watch with your family, especially if you're a Bhai fan. However, in my opinion, Tiger Zinda Hai is a better-made, more polished product than Tiger 3. Additionally, I think Tiger 3 is superior to Pathaan since it features more memorable action sequences and situations.

You won't want to miss the movie's post-credit scene, which provides a significant clue about the future of the Spy Universe.

However, if you have seen the film, what are your thoughts on it?

What could have been done differently in the film?

And lastly, what course do you believe Spy Universe should take going forward?
