My Blender Journey
For me, there are only a few things that truly pique my interest, such as video games, game development, 3D modeling, cricket, and movies. Furthermore, I would like to present the very limited developments of my Blender story, which began in 2022.
When Blender
was first presented to me, I was eager to learn about game design and
development during the eleventh grade. So, I began my adventure because I
wanted to sample the artistic side of programming before delving into the
technical side.
The first
“DONUT” project:
Like
everyone else, I looked for a Blender tutorial on YouTube, and the first
one that popped up was the classic Donut video from Blender Guru.I
created my first 3-D model, following the tutorial to the letter, and I was
really proud of it.

I completed my first Donut and glass project on 23rd September 2022.
Regretfully,
I had to take a four-month break due to schoolwork and my 11th grade school
examinations. I then resumed my Blender journey with Blender Guru's most
recent Donut session. Having a little more knowledge of the settings and
tools made this much easier for me than the previous time.
I completed
this project on 9th January 2023.
The
Cookie self-project:
This was a
somewhat unique project because having completed the Donut project twice, I was
inspired to use my Blender skills to create a Cookie model on my own without
following the guide. I was genuinely quite pleased with the outcome.
I completed
this project on 11th January,2023
The
isometric Bedroom scene:
Following
the completion of the Donuts and Cookies project, I was searching for some
low-poly buildings and some basic structures. Then, I came across this 3DGreenhorn
instructional on YouTube that showed how to create an isometric bedroom scene
using simple shapes like cubes, spheres, and planks along with a few basic
modifiers.
For someone
who is just starting, like me, this project was a great way to learn about
scale and references between large and little objects.
I completed
this on 13th January 2023.
The Snowy
House project:
Once I had
completed the isometric scene, I was looking through the 3DGreenhorn
YouTube channel when I saw this tutorial about modeling a snowy house. The
snow modeling over the ground and the home, along with the knowledge of how
light is projected through the window and how to create the evening ambiance,
make this model somewhat more challenging than the isometric style.

The City
view project:
I was
looking for a project to work on when I happened over this CG Geek lesson
on creating a photorealistic metropolis in Blender. This really piqued my
interest in the project.
While the
training may not be particularly helpful for three-dimensional environments, it
is quite helpful for flat photographic outcomes.

The Car
animation project:
After
searching for car animations since I was so enthralled with these
photorealistic works, I eventually came across Kaizen's lesson. Creating
automobile animations and videos was a major motivation for me to learn
Blender, in addition to the fact that it was a really enjoyable endeavor.
Because I
was learning how to rig and animate an automobile for the first time, this was
a tremendously enjoyable experience.

The Dance
animation project:
I wanted to
learn about the physics of hair and fur as well as Mixamo animation, so this
was a pretty enjoyable tiny project.

The
low-poly Animals project:
Once more,
this was a really lovely and adorable project. Low-poly projects are great for
game development and design because they are so visually appealing.
This course
was particularly good because it concentrated more on the fundamentals of
modeling with reference photos and face-based modeling.

Again,
because of the extra work in the 12th grade, I'm a little behind in Blender,
but one of my goals for 2024 is to improve in Blender and perform game
development and design more consistently.
But if
you're interested in Blender or game development as well, let us know in the
